About Joey

My dear, sweet Joey. I remember when I first saw you in the pet shop. You were so cute and small and when I picked you up and cuddled you, I felt like you were saying take me home mummy.

It was so much fun and so rewarding watching you grow up playing with the kids and our cat Sam. You were like having an adorable live cartoon character in the living room with us.

As you got older and bigger, you grew with our family and became so close to all of us. You were such a comfort to us all - so much joy to behold. The way you cocked your head on the side and gave a little bark. The way you got so excited when we came home from the shops. At first we didn't want you on the couch or jumping on the bed. But how could we resist our dear cute little Joey.

When you got sick we wanted you with us still, so much. But your suffering was too much for you and us. Now you must be running and chasing and digging up bones in Heaven.

We'll miss you always....
